I am a hair and makeup artist + bridal specialist here on the island of Maui, Hawai’i!
My husband and I moved to Hawai’i from the Midwest in 2014 with four suitcases, a one year old and no jobs…and it was our first trip to the island (crazy, huh?!). Hawai’i has truly embraced us and we are so grateful to be here!
I have been passionate about all things beauty since I was a little girl. I received my cosmetology liscense in 2010 and worked both in salons and free-lancing. When we moved to Hawai’i I realized my passion was solely in hair styling and makeup, that’s when Amelia Hair and Makeup was born!
My approach to hair and makeup is to empower and encourage women to make them feel their best inside and out. I pour my heart and soul into my work and love tailoring the wedding day experience to fit each unique bride.
Beyond hair and makeup, I am a wife and mother. I run on coffee and chaos with my three kiddos and a wonderful hubbs, who I adore. When I’m not working you can find me at the beach, hiking a mountain or at a local coffee shop. I refuel with time by myself, reading a good book, going for a run or sipping a Latte at the beach :).
